How long does a custom rod take?+
Custom rods typically require approximately 2–4 weeks. Timing begins after the specifications and payment are confirmed and may vary depending on component availability and the complexity of the build.
Is a deposit required?+
A deposit may be required after your specifications and quote are approved. Leon Rods will confirm the deposit amount and send a secure Shopify invoice. Any remaining balance and payment schedule will be explained before the build begins.
What materials and blanks do you use?+
Each build is matched to its intended use. Available blanks may include MHX, RainShadow / Batson, North Fork Composites and RodGeeks, paired with dependable guides, reel seats and grip materials selected for performance and durability.
How are custom rods shipped?+
Shipping is quoted according to rod length, destination and packaging requirements. Completed rods are carefully protected for transport, and tracking information is provided when the order ships.
Do you offer repairs?+
Contact Leon Rods first with photos and a description of the damage. After inspection, we will explain whether the repair is covered by warranty and provide an estimate for any non-covered work before proceeding.
What warranty is included?+
Leon Rods provides a one-year limited workmanship warranty to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Blank manufacturer coverage is separate and follows the manufacturer’s current terms.
How do I choose the right rod?+
Complete the Design Your Rod questionnaire with your target species, fishing location, technique, reel, line and weight range. If you are unsure, select “Recommend one” and Leon Rods will help choose the appropriate length, power, action and components.
